Open Polytechnic of New Zealand Organics Courses by Open Learning Distance Education from the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.
You can enrol at any time of the year and have 12 months from your enrolment date to complete a course. You can study at home without attending classes. You have access to one on one tuition from an organic growing lecturer via a freephone number.

Organic Growing
A good introduction to the principles and practices of organic growing. Modules cover organic production systems, soil and plant nutrition, nutrient recycling, crop rotations, organic pest and disease control, managing weeds, saving seeds, growing herbs, using bees, marketing organic food and business options.
Organic Horticulture
A range of courses teaching to unit standards on the National Qualifications Framework. Courses available on accreditation standards, integrated pest and disease management, composting, soil management and crop rotations with other courses under development.
